Sheesh, what am I am going to say, Give a big speech about how fu*ked up I was, Because, that's what I was. I was in the rabbit hole towards now where. I'm blessed, they all truly all truly help, the staff and the most of the clients. iiight , I dont know about grass. And the dog, I don't know about? But the staff, R.A.'s , truly cared and loved all of us. Daily meetings about the whole bunch, about how to bring out the very best in people. We are worth it. P.S.- I.D.K. I just to say, there wasn't enough music. Me, I love music, from classical to Pink Floyd, I'm a loving, respectful person but i had a HUGE problem. And they all each helped me, to me; each client I saw a piece of myself in each one of them... Maybe I won't be a millionaire, But, now I am able to choose my life , truly live much life in , without the poison, leading downward. Clear and sober.... They helped me to truly, to change my life , truly live life... I'm i being TOO corny? If so, like to say that it truly is a loving space.
Endeavor House Norh in Kearny NJ treated me for alcoholism in July of 2012. The professional staff there saved me from a seemingly hopeless and deadly situation. With their care and guidance during my stay and the aftercare program im celebrating 6 years of continuous sobriety! Thank you for saving my life Endeavor House
Endeavor House North truly saved my life. I had been resistant to going into inpatient treatment for alcoholism for the longest time -- out of fear, out of denial, out of 'the unknown.' I walked into EHN a mess: scared, crying, miserable. I literally wanted anything but to be there. That changed so quickly. In my experience, the staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. I noticed that, like most professional environments, when you treat others with respect and kindness, you receive that back. The RAs made my month-long stay there something to remember in the best way possible. Everyone was there to HELP me... so long as I wanted to help myself (which I did). From the nursing staff and the wonderful kitchen staff (Tim is the BEST), to the counselors and admin, everyone welcomed me with open arms and treated me as a friend and respected adult. I appreciated the curriculum and dove into recovery head first. The morning meetings (separated by men & women) were always so deep and a wonderful way to start the day by connecting with other clients. Learning experience courses offered a fun way to gain insight to the disease of addiction. One-on-one sessions with my counselor (Liz) and Caitlyn (the wonderful discharge planner) reminded me that my feelings, my experience, and my opinions mattered. I also appreciated the freedom to enjoy AA/NA/H&I meeting both inside and outside of the walls of EHN. The dorming situation was completely acceptable, in my opinion, for a place that is centered around recovery. There are usually two beds to one room (separated by male and female) with common areas, bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. Rooms were cleaned daily by staff as well. I could go on for hours about the month i spent at EHN, but I won't bore you. What I will give you is this piece of advice: head into recovery/inpatient treatment with an open mind and heart. Take advantage of the knowledge of the faculty and staff. Suck out all of the experience possible -- whether that be through open-process group sessions, elective time in the rec/gym area or painting classes, available literature, etc -- and take what you need to help build your foundation for recovery. Without Endeavor House North, its staff, and my experience there, I fear for where I could have ended up.... could potentially be right now. Honestly and truly. EHN instilled within me a hope for recovery, a purpose for embracing my own journey, and a foundation for a recovery that I am hopeful will last a lifetime. The last thing I'd like to point out is the network of recovery that Endeavor and Pinnacle provide even after you discharge from EHN. With comprehensive aftercare plans, alumni networking opportunities, speaking commitments, and other ways to stay involved/give back -- I feel and continue to feel confident in my recovery journey and in the support services available to me. Today I am 51 days sober. I am at the beginning of a lifelong journey but I am so grateful for where I've been and where I'm going. I would completely recommend EHN to a friend or loved one in need, because I believe everyone deserves the amazing opportunity that I was able to take advantage of. Endeavor House North truly saved my life.
I cant say enough about Endeavor House North and their staff. The amount of support they have shown my loved one while in treatment has been amazing. From the time she checked in with Caitlyn , to Olivia making sure her after care goes smoothly - to everyone in between. The RA's are awesome!! Nicole And David, you have my upmost respect for what you have done for our community. Besides having a loved one in treatment, I also run a community outreach program to combat opioid addiction. I also work in emergency services and see first hand what an epidemic it is. The way in which the ENTIRE staff treats addiction treatment should be applauded! I am grateful they reside in my home town. Thank you all from everyone in Kearny Cares and KEMS!!! Sincerely , Kim Luciano and Chief Harry Mcneill KEMS
I had to suddenly help a friend get into treatment. It was unexpected but Endeavor House made the process seamless. I got to help him move into his new house yesterday as he celebrated 90 days sober from all drugs and alcohol. When I visited him in rehab was clear the staff cares and this is the place for anyone looking to take their recovery process serious.
Convenient to where I live and very easy admissions experience. The treatment programs are led by some of the most compassionate and knowledgeable people I have ever met. Would recommend to anyone with an addiction problem.
Great staff of professionals; my son went to Endeavor House in Kearny, NJ and was truly loved back to health. He spent 20 days in treatment and they really helped him back from the brink of death. Good people and great care.
